Sara Chmielewski earned her degree in physical therapy from the College of St. Scholastica. She has practiced in a variety of settings and locations including spinal cord rehabilitation in San Jose, CA and outpatient orthopedic clinics in Syracuse, NY, Two Harbors and Duluth, MN.
She has undergone specialized training in the areas of occupational health, manual therapy, and women’s and men's health/pelvic floor dysfunction. Sara joined In Motion Therapy in 2011 as part of a team committed to providing the highest level of physical therapy services to each client as a unique individual in a comfortable and private setting. She also joined the OSSPT Team in 2020 to provide on site physical therapy services to Duluth area employers and employees with the goal of injury prevention and early interventions.
Sara's passion is educating clients in methods to prevent injuries from occurring, and working to restore movement and function to clients who want to better understand their bodies while equipping themselves with skills to self-manage their condition. She accomplishes this through a treatment approach that incorporates the whole body and its underlying tissue.
Sara lives in Superior, WI with her husband and they have three grown children. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends and dogs, is involved with her church, and finds recreational opportunities in all seasons with Nordic skiing, biking, fishing and canoe/camping.
