Mai received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Cloud State University in Saint Cloud, MN in 2015. During her undergrad, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Science and Engineering Dean's Department on campus and worked part-time as an office supervisor for the Epilepsy Foundation Center. After graduating and moving back to the Twin Cities, she worked at the Brooklyn Park Police Department as the program assistant before leaving to further her studies in obtaining a master's degree in Public Administration from Saint Mary's University in Saint Paul, MN. She has worked with numerous organizations in administering different programs to help enhance the workplace settings and has created a strong sense of pride in the work she does. She is fluent in her native language, Hmong, and has always been interested in learning new languages.
Mai currently resides in Minnesota with her husband and son. On her free time, she enjoys organizing and decorating her home, biking with her family, discovering new parks with her little boy, and long summer night bonfires. She also enjoys traveling and has been to numerous parts of the United States as well as parts of Southeast Asia (Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, Vietnam), and South Korea - twice.
