On-Site PT (Full-Time)- Altoona, IA

Would you like to make a difference in client's lives by helping to prevent injury versus just reacting to it? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, please keep reading because we have an opportunity for you!On-Site Solutions Physical Therapy is a Minnesota based woman-owned business established in 2008. Our vision is to use innovative methods to help companies keep their employees feeling better and stay healthy. These include bringing injury prevention and treatment plus employee wellness to the workplace. Get in on the ground floor of a small business that is growing fast! We have a mobile workforce and need an energetic, self-driven person to provide on the job site injury prevention services for one of our favorite clients.
This role is for an experienced Physical Therapist in the Altoona area to provide injury prevention, injury management, and wellness services. This PT's time will be split between providing proactive injury prevention programming and injury management for employees at their workplace. In addition to patient care, this role will include running regular pre-work dynamic stretching sessions, the development of educational programming, completion of functional job and/or ergonomic assessments, and provision of body mechanics training. Keeping up to date documentation, providing timely reporting and independently managing a schedule split between patient care and proactive programming are important aspects of this position.
The ideal physical therapist for this job will have a strong orthopedic background and at least 5 years of experience working with a wide range of patient injuries/issues. Familiarity with occupational settings, OSHA guidelines, workers’ compensation processes and ergonomic assessment is desirable but not required.
This position is for 32-40 hours per week. Responsibilities include:
  • Communicate effectively with client's executive suite, HR and Safety team members, Wellness team members and employees when providing on site services.
  • Schedule, perform and document evaluation and follow up appointments for employees and patients presenting with occupational and non-occupational issues and injuries.
  • Have a thorough understanding of OSHA guidelines relating to recordable injuries and the worker’s compensation process.
  • Develop and implement proactive injury prevention programs based on the client’s needs, which could include, depending upon the workplace, stretch programming, new hire education, body mechanics training, educational presentations.
  • Perform, as needed, functional job assessments, ergonomic workstation assessments and risk assessments.
  • Track time utilization and report data as needed to meet client needs and KPIs.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc.
  • The ideal candidate for this position is someone who can work independently, is an excellent communicator, someone who enjoys taking the initiative in identifying and creating programming to meet client needs and is comfortable taking the first steps in developing relationships with employees of all levels.

This part-time role is for an experienced Physical Therapist in the Detroit Lakes to provide injury prevention, injury management, and wellness services. In addition to patient care, this role may also include the development of educational programming, completion of functional job and/or ergonomic assessments, and body mechanics training. Keeping up to date documentation, providing timely reporting and independently managing a schedule split between patient care and proactive programming are other important aspects of this position.
